About us
What We Do
At Xolani Women of Hope, we are committed to empowering women and girls—especially those from informal settlements—by equipping them with green skills and the capacity to thrive in a changing world.
We focus on capacity building in sustainable livelihoods, offering training and mentorship in areas such as clean energy, sustainable agriculture, circular economy, climate action, and eco-entrepreneurship. Our goal is to prepare women for emerging green job markets and help them become active agents of change in their communities.
Through a holistic approach that includes mental health support, leadership development, gender-based violence awareness, and financial literacy, we nurture not just skills but also confidence and resilience.
By investing in women, we are investing in sustainable communities and a greener future.

OUR story
Xolani's Story
In Kenya, 3 out of 5 girls do not transition to the secondary school leading to 1 out of 2 girls being given out for marriage by the age of 19years. For this reason, extreme material poverty in Kenya especially in informal settlement is affecting women leading to their exposure and vulnerability to various kinds of exploitation such as child marriages, sexual abuse, trafficking for prostitution, teenage pregnancies and other kinds of victimization.
When there is poor education, there are poor entrepreneurial skills, poor production methods, increased cases of child labor, teenage pregnancies, and generally increase in poverty levels hence the need to have customized training that will allow women to participate in the economy productively. It is against this backdrop that we intend provide a flexi training model that is tailored to meet the unique needs of girls and young women especially those who are disadvantaged.
